helping leaders and churches discover
and
live out the purpose of their journey

Transitions are turning points in the
life of a leader.  They are defining
moments and strategic intersections
in the development of a leader.
Making it through a transition
often requires a new set of
navigational skills and coaching.

Transitions
Navigating the Intersections and
Transitions of Life & Leadership
Transitions occur in the lives of all committed Christ followers. They are the moments and days that lie between what is and what is to come. Transitions are in the seam between one development phase and the next. They deepen one's trust and dependency on God and help Christ followers better recognize God's voice and calling in their life.

Understanding Transitions >>>>>>>

Christ followers can get lost in their journeys with God.  They arrive at moments when
what worked before often does not work for them now.  And God's voice that seemed so loud and clear in the past now seems to have grown strangely quiet and distant.

During these intersections of life >>>>>>>>
^^  Some return to what's familiar, and miss the God-intended growth
^^  Some wander off, confused by all the questions of what's next
^^  Some plateau in their faith
^^  Some make it through

Transitions serve to bring about needed change, provide clarity in life direction, consolidate learning, deepen values, shift the paradigms and advance one's influence.
There are three important transitions that occur in the personal development  of passionate and committed Christ followers.  They help to shape a life for a unique and ultimate contribution.   These three generic transitions are >>>>>>>>>

^^  The awakening transition (often occurring somewhere in the 20's-30's)
^^  The
deciding transition (often occurring in the 45+ age range)
^^  The finishing transition (often occurring somewhere in the late 50's-early 60's)

What Is a Transition?
A transition is the in-between
period in the life development
of a Christ follower.  In a
transition, individuals consolidate
past learning, process issues of
character, deepen convictions and
values, and are prepared for the
next phase of their development.
Transitions bring closure to the
past in order to move forward to
the next stage of personal
development.
